Top 10 Ballads

Well, everybody loves ballads, its relaxing and when you’re down, this kind of music will be your best friend to your ear. And now it’s time for me to share my thoughts about my top 10 favorite ballads! INTERNATIONALLY! Well, I’m trying to be objective, I judge the song by its quality, not who sang it or so.

First of all, My all-the-time favorite is Meri Kuri (メリクリ), a Japanese song that was done by Korean-Japanese-American Singer, BoA. The song is simply powerful and fragile in the same time. the chorus is simply the best song you will ever heard. it melts an icy feeling which was brought from the verses. Meri Kuri has been re-performed on her 2nd Japanese Compilation album, BEST & USA Version. For second song, I’d say Keedie’s I Believe My Heart which features Duncan James, These British duet is simply strong and gorgeous. Duncan’s voice which I admired mixes with Keedie’s historical voice well. A perfect duet and a perfect ballads. Third which not easy to decide is David Cook’s Lie. It’s the 8th track from his debut album, David Cook. The lyrics tells about his died brother (written before he died), They way he delivers it brings a dramatic blend, And I wonder why he hasn’t got any Grammy.

The fourth is Mariah Carey‘s classical One Sweet Day, it features Boys II Men in it and this song is just great, even I, personally am not a fan of both of them. Fifth is Saosin‘s You’re Not Alone, Even though I never really enjoy Cove Reber’s voice, but this song brings a blazing motivations which sounds motivating and raging.

The sixth one is Kris Allen‘s Falling Slowly, Originally sung by Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová. Seventh is Demi Lovato‘s A Gift Of A Friend, Soundtrack for Tinker Bell and the Lost Treasure, I just can’t deny the magic in this song. Eighth, Avril Lavigne‘s I’m With You. Ninth Ayumi Hamasaki‘s Voyage. And The Tenth song is BoA‘s Winter Love, not the least.

The top ballads are randomly sorted, except the first one, truly my favorite 🙂
